The DJO patient information section is designed to provide information to patients and their families regarding topics suggested by DJO readers and written by the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary physicians. This section is an excellent resource for patients. It covers basic topics in ophthalmology in easily understandable language. General information on cataract surgery, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and numerous other conditions are reviewed.
In the future, the DJO will provide Adobe Acrobat PDF files of the patient information pages to download for personal use and distribution. If you have suggestions for topics, additions to topics, would like to write a topic, or have other comments please e-mail:
djo@harvard.edu.
Since we are unable to make diagnoses without examining the patient, please do not e-mail diagnostic or treatment questions to the editors. However, if you are in the United States and would like a referral to a specialist, you may link to one of the DJO's Recommended Institutions for Patient Care.
