History | The patient is a three year old white male transferred to Childrens Hospital of Philadelphia for evaluation of swelling under the left eye. Two days prior to presentation the patient fell off his tricycle and landed on the left side of his face. The patient suffered a 3 cm laceration below his left lower lid. The patient's orbital CT scan at the time of the initial evaluation showed a medial wall fracture. The patient's lid laceration was repaired. One day post-operatively the patient had an episode of emesis, bloody discharge FROM his left nostril, and swelling, redness and warmth around his left eye.
