Examination
Visual acuity was 20/20 in the right eye and 20/40 in the left eye, improving to 20/20−2 with pinhole testing. On external examination of the left eye, the patient was found to have ptosis of the upper eyelid, with a medial 1.5–2.0 cm firm, mobile, nontender, “marblelike” cystic mass (Figure 1). There was concern that the lesion may have been causing astigmatism. The remainder of the examination was normal. There was no concern for infection.
