The patient had an epicanthal fold, and it was felt that a lid crease incision might cause webbing of the medial canthus. Therefore, at the time of surgery, a beveled incision through the inferior most portion of the brow was made, and an anterior orbitotomy performed. A pearly mass measuring 1.0 cm was visualized, undermined in toto, and removed from the anterior orbit. The wound was irrigated and closed with interrupted sutures. The patient was discharged in good condition later the same day.
