Examination | On physical examination, the patient had a Snellen visual acuity of 20/400 in the left eye with an afferent pupillary defect. Examination of the right eye was unremarkable. There was severe limitation of left extraocular movements and there was marked left axial proptosis, periorbital edema, and erythema. Examination of the oral cavity was performed, and no signs of abscess or infection were noted. | |
